I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from St. Martin’s University, my Master’s in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University, and my Principal Certification from St. Martin’s University. I have taught for 20+ years and was a principal for 2 years prior to coming here. At Holy Family School, I have taught 5th grade and middle school Math and Science.

Outside of school, I like to read, tend to our small farm, and spend time with my grandchildren. I have 3 dogs, 10 chickens, a turtle, and a cow named Tasty.

I met my husband in high school, and we are going on 40 years of marriage!

I grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington and moved to Lacey in 2006. I teach Preschool and P.E. for our kindergarten class and have been working at holy Family School since 2016. My husband and I have been married for over 16 years, and we have 2 children together- both attended HFS. We also have 2 cats at home named Picard and Dottie.

I received my Associate’s from Seminole State College in Florida and am currently working on a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University. I previously taught Pre- kindergarten in Seminole County Public Schools in Orlando before moving to Holy Family School.

My husband and I moved to Lacey in 2023. Since moving here, we’ve enjoyed exploring as much of Washington as possible and love finding new places to visit.

I graduated from Western Governor’s University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2023. I earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as 2 ECE certifications in 2021. I started teaching kindergarten at HFS in 2023, after subbing in various classes the year prior.

My husband and I have 3 children, 1 dog named Relm, and 1 cat named Zippers. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and baking.

I earned my Associate’s in Early Childhood Education from Mt. St. Mary’s, my Bachelor’s in Education and Marketing from Central Washington University, and my Master’s in Education at Lewis & Clark College. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, including the last 6 years at HFS.

I have 3 main loves in my life:  My children and grandchildren; my Faith and active participation in many ministries at Sacred Heart Church (I consider Sacred Heart my 2nd home!); and my love as a teacher here at Holy Family and the close ties with many of the families.

Ms. Melanie Carlos teaches 3rd grade. She earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She currently is working on her Masters degree in Reading at Saint Martin’s University. She has taught Pre-K and 5th grade at HFS. She loves arts and crafts, travel, and the outdoors!

I earned my Bachelor’s in English & Education, with endorsements in Literature and Reading from Western Washington University. I teach Middle School English and Social Studies.

I love working at Holy Family due to the class sizes, polite students, and supportive parents.

In my personal life, I am interested in astronomy, football cards, and model railroading. At home my wife and I have 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 bird (a cockatiel). Emily and Wesley are my two children. Like her mom, Emily works as a registered nurse, and Wesley works in the concrete business.

I attended California State University, Fullerton where I earned my B.A. in Theater, minoring in Christian Studies. I’m currently working on my M.A. in Catechetics and Evangelization from Franciscan University of Steubenville. I have been teaching our Middle School Religion classes in the afternoons since 2021.

In the evenings, you can find me knitting, cooking, or coaching Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit. My family and I write music together, serve in our local parish, play sports, explore the outdoors, and travel.

I attended Florida State University and started my teaching career at Tallahassee Classical School in Tallahassee, Florida. At Holy Family School, I am the 8th grade Homeroom as well as the middle school Science and Social Studies teacher.

Outside of the classroom, I am an avid writer, podcaster, audiobook narrator, and occasional filmmaker.

I graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Band. After moving back to Olympia in 2015, I taught elementary music, choir, and musical theater for 4 years. I started teaching at HFS in 2019.

I lived in the Olympia area for most of my life. My husband and I met while attending school in Idaho, and we moved back to the area after graduation. We have 2 adorable boys and two crazy dogs at home. Besides all things music, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Brigidanne Brennan Math Teacher, Extended Care Teacher

Ms. Brigidanne Brennan teaches advanced math, is a 4th grade teacher’s aide, and runs one of the extended care classrooms. She attended Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana where she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Leadership. She has been to 47 states!

Ms. Brennan has been working at Holy Family School since 2019.
